We all know that people who are single before lock down tend to look for dates online while those who already have someone usually stay away from online dating sites. While you may want to date someone right after you emerge from lockdown, you shouldn’t make assumptions about other people’s relationships or their reasons for staying single. It’s important to be productive during this time as well so you don’t end up feeling depressed and frustrated.
Get involved with hobbies and activities
If you’re looking for something to do with your partner or your family, you can always take part in activities together. Whether it’s taking a cooking class together or visiting a museum together, you can always share your interests and hobbies with each other. It can boost your sense of camaraderie and friendship and bring you closer together.
Join a support group
If you’re struggling with loneliness and isolation, you can always join a support group. Find a local church or community center where you live and talk to people who understand what you’re going through. Having someone to speak to who understands what you’re going through can help you overcome feelings of isolation and depression and get you back on track.
